What is UP Nishulk Boring Yojana?

Uttar Pradesh Nishulk Boring Yojana (Free Boring Scheme) provides free borewell installation to small and marginal farmers for agricultural irrigation. Under the scheme, a pump set is also provided at subsidised rates or free. The scheme targets farmers with less than 2 hectares land (small) and less than 1 hectare (marginal). Pump set capacity up to 5 HP is covered. The scheme is implemented by the Minor Irrigation Department of UP.
