What is Nirashrit Mahila Pension UP?
UP Nirashrit Mahila Pension Yojana provides a monthly pension of ₹1,000 to destitute and abandoned women aged 18 and above who have no means of livelihood. Divorced, abandoned, separated, and unmarried women with no male support are eligible. Over 30 lakh women receive this pension through the sspy.up.gov.in portal.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹1,000/month pension paid directly to bank account; reviewed and continued annually. The scheme was launched in 2014 and is implemented by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
