Schemes In India (schemesinindia.in) is a free, independent information portal run by Sanket Ghogare to help Indian citizens understand, find, and apply for government schemes and welfare programmes from the central government and all state governments. I started the site in 2025, and it now covers 1,000+ central and state schemes — every page checked against the official government source before it is published.
My Mission
Millions of Indians miss out on benefits they are entitled to — simply because they don't know the scheme exists, don't understand the eligibility, or don't know how to apply. I built Schemes In India to change that. My goal is to make government scheme information accessible, accurate, and easy to understand for every Indian — regardless of education level or internet experience.
Editorial Standards & Methodology

- Source verification: All scheme details are cross-verified against official government portals (.gov.in domains), ministry websites, and the Gazette of India
- Regular updates: Every scheme page carries a "Last Updated" date. I review each page every 30-90 days for changes in eligibility, benefit amount, or application process
- Plain language: Technical or legal jargon is explained in simple Hindi/English so first-generation internet users can understand
- Comprehensive coverage: Each scheme page includes eligibility, documents, application steps, FAQs, helpline numbers, and direct apply links
- Correction policy: If a reader notifies me of incorrect information, I update within 24-48 hours and add a correction note

Who Runs Schemes In India
I'm Sanket Ghogare, an independent publisher based in Pune, Maharashtra. I started Schemes In India in 2025 because my own family struggled to navigate scheme applications — the official portals are impossibly fragmented across dozens of ministry sites, state portals and PDF circulars, and the people who need the benefits most are the ones least equipped to chase that paper trail. I wanted one place where an ordinary citizen could land on a scheme, see what it actually offers, who qualifies, and exactly how to apply, in language that doesn't require a law degree.
Every page on this site is researched and written by me personally, with all facts cross-checked against the official .gov.in source linked on the page. I monitor PIB (Press Information Bureau), MyGov.in, ministry press releases and the official Gazette so the content stays current, and I review reader corrections promptly. Editorial Independence
This site is funded by Google AdSense and modest affiliate partnerships disclosed on each relevant page. I never accept payment for biased coverage, and I never publish content from PR agencies as if it were editorial. Schemes are covered on merit and relevance to readers — not because anyone paid for the placement.
