What is HP SC/OBC Post-Matric Scholarship?
Himachal Pradesh provides Post-Matric Scholarships to SC, OBC, and Minority (Muslim/Christian/Sikh/Buddhist/Jain/Parsi) students: Full tuition fee reimbursement + ₹230-₹1,200/month maintenance allowance (day scholar/hosteller) for Class 11 to PhD level. Around 2 lakh HP students benefit annually. Apply through National Scholarships Portal (scholarships.gov.in) or HP state scholarship portal (scholarship.hp.gov.in) between July-November annually.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Full tuition fee + ₹230-₹1,200/month for SC/OBC/Minority HP students Class 11 to PhD. The scheme was launched in 2008 and is implemented by the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

- ✓ HP Domicile student belonging to SC, OBC, or Minority category (caste/category certificate from HP authority)
- ✓ Studying Class 11 to PhD in any recognised institution in HP or outside (HP domicile required)
- ✓ Family annual income: SC ≤ ₹2.5 lakh; OBC ≤ ₹1.5 lakh; Minority ≤ ₹2 lakh
- ✓ Not availing any other Central/State scholarship for the same year
- ✓ Aadhaar Card + Aadhaar-linked bank account
