What is HP Fisheries Trout Farming?
Himachal Pradesh Fisheries Department's Trout Farming Support scheme provides 50% subsidy on trout fish seed (fingerlings/fry), pond construction, and equipment to HP hill farmers for rainbow trout and brown trout aquaculture. HP's cold mountain streams and spring water in Kullu, Shimla, Mandi, Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti, and Chamba districts are ideal for trout farming. Benefits: 50% subsidy on: (1) Trout fish seed (fingerlings) up to 10,000 fish; (2) RCC/FRP raceways/tanks construction (₹3-5 lakh per unit); (3) Aerator, feed equipment, fishing net; (4) Training at HP Fisheries Hatchery centres. HP government also provides 25% subsidy on trout feed. Total investment per unit ₹6-10 lakh; subsidy ₹3-5 lakh. About 3,000 HP farmers in trout farming. Apply at District Fisheries Officer.

हिमाचल प्रदेश ट्राउट मछली पालन योजना पहाड़ी किसानों को Rainbow Trout और Brown Trout पालन के लिए मछली बीज (Fingerlings) और तालाब/Raceway निर्माण पर 50% सब्सिडी देती है। कुल्लू, शिमला, किन्नौर, मंडी, लाहौल-स्पीति और चंबा के ठंडे पर्वतीय जल स्रोत ट्राउट पालन के लिए आदर्श हैं। HP Fisheries Hatchery से तकनीकी प्रशिक्षण और मछली बीज दोनों मिलते हैं।
