What is HP Sahara Yojana?
Himachal Pradesh Sahara Yojana provides ₹3,000 per month to patients suffering from serious chronic illnesses — cancer, diabetes, heart disease, Parkinson's, muscular dystrophy, hemophilia, thalassemia, and kidney failure — who are from BPL or low-income families in HP. The scheme covers ongoing treatment costs and caregiver support.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹3,000/month for serious chronic illness patients from BPL/low-income HP families. The scheme was launched in 2019 and is implemented by the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

Who is Eligible for HP Sahara Yojana?
- ✓ Permanent resident of Himachal Pradesh
- ✓ Diagnosed with: Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Parkinson's, Muscular Dystrophy, Hemophilia, Thalassemia, or Kidney Failure
- ✓ Annual family income below ₹4 lakh
- ✓ Must have BPL ration card or income certificate
- ✓ Must be under treatment at a recognized HP government / district hospital
