What is Yuvashree Arpan WB?
Yuvashree Arpan is West Bengal government's unemployment allowance scheme providing ₹1,500 per month to unemployed educated youth aged 18–45 who are registered with the West Bengal Employment Exchange. The scheme targets youth who have appeared in state government job selection tests but are yet to be employed. Launched as an extension of the original Yuvashree scheme, Yuvashree Arpan specifically covers candidates who have participated in competitive exams including State Level Selection Test (SLST), SSC, and other WB government recruitment tests. The monthly allowance continues until the candidate finds employment or reaches the age limit.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹1,500/month unemployment allowance — for WB Employment Exchange registered educated unemployed youth. The scheme was launched in 2013 and is implemented by the Government of West Bengal.
