What is WB SVMCM Scholarship?
West Bengal Swami Vivekananda Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM) provides ₹1,000–₹5,000/month to meritorious students from economically weaker sections studying Class 11 to PhD in West Bengal, irrespective of caste or religion.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹1,000–₹5,000/month for Class 11 to PhD — merit + income based — all communities. The scheme was launched in 2015 and is implemented by the Government of West Bengal.
