What is WB Student Credit Card?
West Bengal Student Credit Card Scheme, launched in June 2021, provides education loans up to Rs 10 lakh at just 4% annual interest to students pursuing higher education (Class 10 onwards). No collateral, no guarantor, no income limit. The state government acts as guarantor. Students can use the loan for tuition, hostel, books, laptop, and other education expenses. Over 1 lakh loans sanctioned since launch. Apply online at wbscc.wb.gov.in or through Duare Sarkar camps.

wbscc.wb.gov.in-এ Aadhaar দিয়ে নিবন্ধন করুন। ভর্তিপত্র, আধার, মার্কশিট আপলোড করুন। অথবা দুয়ারে সরকার ক্যাম্পে যান।

Who is Eligible for WB Student Credit Card?
- ✓ Must be a domicile of West Bengal (10 years residence)
- ✓ Age 17-40 years at the time of application
- ✓ Enrolled or admitted to Class 10/12, undergraduate, postgraduate, or vocational courses
- ✓ Course must be at a government-recognised institution in India or abroad
- ✓ No income limit — available to all WB residents
- ✓ No existing default on any bank loan

How to Apply for WB Student Credit Card Online?
- 1Visit wbscc.wb.gov.in and register with Aadhaar-linked mobile number
- 2Fill application form: personal details, course details, institution details
- 3Upload documents: admission letter, domicile proof, Aadhaar, marksheet
- 4Application forwarded to nodal bank (Union Bank / Bandhan Bank)
- 5Bank verification and loan disbursement — usually 15-30 days
