What is WB Yuvasree Employment Bank?
West Bengal Yuvasree Scheme provides a monthly unemployment allowance of ₹1,500 to educated unemployed youth registered on the West Bengal Employment Bank Portal (employmentbankwb.gov.in). The scheme targets unemployed graduates and post-graduates aged 18–45, helping them sustain themselves while they search for jobs or undergo skill training. The Employment Bank Portal is West Bengal's central job placement system — it currently has 25+ lakh registered job seekers and 1+ lakh employer registrations. Yuvasree allowance is provided to selected beneficiaries based on annual quota and selection criteria, primarily targeting first-time job seekers from economically weaker sections. The selected youth also get priority access to skill development programmes and job fairs.
