What is Kanyashree Prakalpa?
Kanyashree Prakalpa is West Bengal government's award-winning girl child welfare scheme providing K1 annual scholarship of ₹1,000 to girls aged 13–18 in Classes 8–12, and K2 one-time grant of ₹25,000 to unmarried girls aged 18+ continuing education. The scheme has won the UN Public Service Award.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive K1: ₹1,000/year (age 13–18) + K2: ₹25,000 one-time (age 18+, unmarried). The scheme was launched in 2013 and is implemented by the Government of West Bengal.

কন্যাশ্রী প্রকল্প পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের পুরস্কারপ্রাপ্ত বালিকা কল্যাণ প্রকল্প, যা ২০১৩ সালে চালু হয়েছে। এই প্রকল্পে দুটি সুবিধা রয়েছে — K1 বার্ষিক বৃত্তি এবং K2 এককালীন অনুদান। K1-তে ১৩-১৮ বছর বয়সী অষ্টম থেকে দ্বাদশ শ্রেণির ছাত্রীরা বছরে ₹১,০০০ পান। K2-তে ১৮ বছর বা তার বেশি বয়সী অবিবাহিত মেয়েরা উচ্চশিক্ষায় পড়লে ₹২৫,০০০ এককালীন পান। জাতিসংঘের পাবলিক সার্ভিস অ্যাওয়ার্ড বিজয়ী এই প্রকল্প।
