What is WB Handloom Weavers Scheme?
West Bengal provides comprehensive support to handloom weavers and artisans including free loom/equipment, ₹2 lakh credit linkage through WB WBHDC (Handloom Development Corporation), skill upgradation, design support, and marketing assistance.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Free loom/equipment + ₹2 lakh credit + skill training + marketing — WB handloom weavers. The scheme was launched in 2015 and is implemented by the Government of West Bengal.
