What is Karnataka Stree Shakti?
Stree Shakti is Karnataka's flagship women's Self-Help Group (SHG) empowerment programme launched 2000-01 by WCD Department — operating with the largest women's SHG network in India after AP. Has organised 1.5+ lakh SHGs covering 22+ lakh rural women — providing financial inclusion, microcredit, livelihood skills, and political voice. Each SHG (10-20 women) saves ₹100-500/month and is eligible for ₹10,000 revolving fund + ₹50K to ₹3 lakh bank credit at 4%. Integrated with DAY-NRLM (centre), NABARD, KMRC training. Women trained in agriculture, sericulture, dairy, handicrafts, food processing.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸ್ತ್ರೀ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಯೋಜನೆ 2000-01ರಿಂದ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮತ್ತು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತಂದ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸ್ವಸಹಾಯ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಸಶಕ್ತೀಕರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿದ್ದು 22 ಲಕ್ಷ+ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡ 1.5 ಲಕ್ಷ+ ಸ್ವಸಹಾಯ ಗುಂಪುಗಳಿಗೆ ₹10,000 ತಿರುಗುವ ನಿಧಿ + 4% ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸಾಲ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ.
