Karnataka's Gruha Lakshmi Scheme (ಗೃಹಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಯೋಜನೆ) is one of the 5 Congress guarantee schemes, providing Rs.2,000 per month directly to the bank account of the female head of every eligible household via DBT. Launched in August 2023, over 1.29 crore women have registered. Karnataka Budget 2026-27 allocated a record Rs.28,608 crore for this scheme.
Who is Eligible?
- Permanent resident of Karnataka
- Woman declared as head of household in the ration card (Antyodaya, BPL, or APL)
- Name in bank account, Aadhaar, and ration card must exactly match
- Aadhaar-linked bank account mandatory for DBT
- Government employees, income taxpayers, pension above Rs.10,000/month — NOT eligible
How to Apply for Gruha Lakshmi
- Visit sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in or go to your nearest Karnataka One / Grama One / Bangalore One / Bapuji Seva Kendra
- Carry: Aadhaar Card, Ration Card (as female HoH), Bank Passbook (Aadhaar-linked)
- Fill the Gruha Lakshmi application form — submit name, Aadhaar number, ration card number, bank account details
- Receive Registration ID (sanction letter) after document verification
- After approval: Rs.2,000/month automatically deposited each month
- Check status at sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in using Registration ID
Budget 2026-27 Allocation
Karnataka Budget 2026-27 has allocated Rs.28,608 crore for Gruha Lakshmi — the single largest welfare scheme allocation in Karnataka's history. Deputy CM DK Shivakumar confirmed the scheme will continue indefinitely.

ಗೃಹಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ 5 ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು. ರೇಷನ್ ಕಾರ್ಡ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥೆ ಎಂದು ನೋಂದಾಯಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರತಿ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೆ ₹2,000 DBT ಮೂಲಕ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಖಾತೆಗೆ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಜಮಾ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ. 2026-27 ಬಜೆಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ₹28,608 ಕೋಟಿ ಅನುದಾನ.

- ಆಧಾರ್, ರೇಷನ್ ಕಾರ್ಡ್ ಮತ್ತು ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಖಾತೆ ಹೆಸರು ಒಂದೇ ಆಗಿರಬೇಕು
