What is Mukhyamantri Bicycle Yojana Bihar?
Bihar government's Mukhyamantri Cycle Yojana provides one free bicycle each year to all Class 9 students enrolled in government secondary schools in Bihar. The scheme aims to reduce school dropout rates by addressing the transportation barrier for students living in distant villages. Over 15 lakh students receive free bicycles every year.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive One free bicycle for every Class 9 student (girl and boy) in Bihar government secondary schools. The scheme was launched in 2006 and is implemented by the Government of Bihar.
