What is Bihar Mahila Rojgar Yojana?
Bihar Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana — flagship women employment scheme launched by Bihar government 2025. Connected to the 'Mahila Samvad' (Women Dialogue) campaign reaching 2 crore Bihar women via 600 promotional 'raths' (chariots) across 70,000+ locations. Scheme provides: (1) ₹10,000/month skill training stipend; (2) ₹2 lakh micro-enterprise loan at concessional interest; (3) Skill training in tailoring, beautician, food processing, retail, IT/computer literacy. Implemented by Bihar Mahila Vikas Nigam + JEEViKA. Initially targets 50 lakh active women SHG members.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹10,000/month stipend + ₹2 lakh micro-enterprise loan + skill training for 50 lakh Bihar women SHG members. The scheme was launched in 2025 and is implemented by the Government of Bihar.
