What is Bihar Balika Protsahan (Matric)?
Bihar Mukhyamantri Balika Protsahan Yojana (Matriculation) provides ONE-TIME cash incentive to girl students who pass Class 10 (Matriculation) from the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). First Division pass: ₹10,000; Second Division pass: ₹8,000. The scheme is a sub-component of Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana and is administered through the Medhasoft portal (medhasoft.bih.nic.in) under the Education Department. Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the girl's Aadhaar-linked bank account. Over 10 lakh+ girls have received this incentive since 2008. Aim: reduce female dropout at the Class 10 stage and encourage girls to continue to Class 11-12.
