What is JEEViKA Bihar SHG?
JEEViKA (Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society — BRLPS) forms Self Help Groups (SHGs) of rural poor women, provides ₹15,000 revolving fund, bank credit linkage up to ₹6 lakh, skill training, and livelihood support to help families escape poverty.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹15,000 revolving fund per SHG + bank credit linkage up to ₹6 lakh + skill training. The scheme was launched in 2007 and is implemented by the Government of Bihar.

जीविका (BRLPS — Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society) बिहार सरकार की ग्रामीण महिला सशक्तिकरण की सबसे बड़ी योजना है। इसके तहत 10-15 ग्रामीण गरीब महिलाओं का एक स्वयं सहायता समूह (SHG) बनाया जाता है। समूह को ₹15,000 रिवाल्विंग फंड मिलता है, जिसे सदस्य आपस में छोटे ऋण के रूप में उपयोग करते हैं। 6 महीने की नियमित बचत और बैठक के बाद बैंक लिंकेज से ₹1-6 लाख तक का ऋण मिलता है। जीविका ने बिहार में 10 लाख से अधिक SHG बनाए हैं जिनमें 1 करोड़+ महिलाएं जुड़ी हैं।
