What is Bihar Kanya Vivah Yojana?
Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana is a Bihar government scheme that provides financial assistance of ₹5,000 per daughter to BPL families at the time of daughter's marriage. The scheme aims to reduce child marriage, reduce dowry pressure, and encourage registration of marriages. The assistance is paid via cheque or DBT to the bride's account.
