What is Bihar Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana?
Bihar Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana is a self-employment programme of the Industries Department aimed at first-generation entrepreneurs from under-represented groups — SC, ST, Extremely Backward Class (EBC), women, general youth and minorities. Each selected applicant receives total support of ₹10 lakh to set up a new manufacturing or service enterprise: ₹5 lakh is given as an outright subsidy that never has to be repaid, while the remaining ₹5 lakh is an interest-free loan recoverable in easy instalments over 84 months.
