What is Poshan 2.0 Saksham Anganwadi?
Poshan 2.0 (Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0) is the umbrella nutrition mission launched in 2021 by merging ICDS, Poshan Abhiyan, and other nutrition schemes. It provides supplementary nutrition to 8 crore children (0-6 years), 1.78 crore pregnant/lactating mothers, and 2 crore adolescent girls. Each beneficiary gets hot cooked meals or take-home rations through anganwadi centres.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Free supplementary nutrition for children (0-6), pregnant women, lactating mothers, adolescent girls. The scheme was launched in 2021 and is implemented by the Government of India.
