What is PM Rojgar Protsahan Yojana?
Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana (PMRPY) incentivises employers to create new jobs by paying the employer's full 12% EPF contribution for 3 years for each new employee (earning up to ₹15,000/month). This reduces the cost of hiring, especially for MSMEs and factories. Over 1.52 crore beneficiaries and 1.74 lakh establishments benefited since launch.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Employer's full 12% EPF contribution paid by Government for 3 years per new employee. The scheme was launched in 2016 and is implemented by the Government of India.
