Eligible — one unmarried woman per family qualifies when all other criteria are met

Not eligible — she is above the 65-year age limit
Fatima, 29, married, but her bank account is NOT linked to Aadhaar

Common Mistakes — Why Ladki Bahin Yojana Applications Get Rejected
- ✗Bank account not linked (seeded) with Aadhaar — the ₹1,500 transfer fails even after approval. Seed your Aadhaar at the bank branch first.
- ✗Giving a joint or husband's bank account — the money must go to the woman's OWN individual Aadhaar-seeded account.
- ✗Not completing eKYC before the deadline — incomplete eKYC permanently stops the monthly payment until it is done.
- ✗Income certificate showing family income above ₹2.5 lakh — re-check the figure on your Tehsildar/income certificate before uploading.
- ✗Filing more than one application for the same married woman — duplicates are auto-rejected (only one married + one unmarried woman per family qualify).
- ✗Name spelt differently across Aadhaar, bank passbook and income certificate — a name mismatch is the single most common reason for rejection.
- ✗Using a mobile number not linked to Aadhaar — the OTP verification step fails and the form will not submit.
Insider Tips for Ladki Bahin Yojana
- →Complete your eKYC between the 1st and 5th of the month to receive that month's ₹1,500 without a one-month delay.

- →Application is 100% free — never pay an agent. Apply yourself or at an authorised CSC / Setu / Anganwadi centre.
- →Make sure your name is spelt IDENTICALLY on Aadhaar, your bank account and your income certificate to avoid verification failure.
