What is Shetkari Karj Mukti Yojana?
Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Shetkari Karj Mukti Yojana (MJPSKY) is a farm loan waiver scheme of the Maharashtra government's Cooperation, Marketing and Textiles Department, named after social reformer Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. It waives outstanding short-term crop loans of up to ₹2 lakh taken by small and marginal farmers from nationalised banks, district cooperative banks, and Regional Rural Banks that remained unpaid as of 30 September 2019. To reward financial discipline, the scheme also pays an incentive of up to ₹50,000 to farmers who repaid their loans regularly during 2017-18, 2018-19, and 2019-20. The waiver amount is credited directly to the farmer's loan account via DBT; the programme has disbursed over ₹5,000 crore to more than 14 lakh beneficiaries.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Crop loan waiver up to ₹2 lakh + ₹50,000 incentive for regular loan repayment. The scheme was launched in 2019 and is implemented by the Government of Maharashtra.

महात्मा जोतिराव फुले शेतकरी कर्ज मुक्ती योजना (MJPSKY) ही महाराष्ट्र सरकारची शेतकऱ्यांसाठी कर्जमाफी योजना आहे. 30 सप्टेंबर 2019 पर्यंत घेतलेल्या ₹2 लाखांपर्यंतच्या पीक कर्जाची माफी या योजनेअंतर्गत मिळते. 2017-18, 2018-19 आणि 2019-20 या वर्षांत नियमित कर्ज परतफेड करणाऱ्या शेतकऱ्यांना ₹50,000 पर्यंत प्रोत्साहन अनुदान दिले जाते. आतापर्यंत 14 लाखांहून अधिक शेतकऱ्यांना ₹5,000 कोटींहून जास्त वितरित झाले आहे.
