Mizoram Tourism Eco-Development Scheme supports ILP holder tribal families in developing registered homestays, eco-tourism resorts, and nature-based tourism enterprises in Mizoram's scenic districts — Champhai, Serchhip, Lunglei, Mamit, and Kolasib. The scheme provides ₹1.5 lakh subsidy for homestay infrastructure development (minimum 2 rooms), training in hospitality and eco-tourism management, listing on state tourism portal and MTDC (Mizoram Tourism Development Corporation) circuits, and market linkage with tour operators. Mizoram's rich biodiversity (Dampa Tiger Reserve, Phawngpui National Park, Palak Lake), traditional Mizo village culture, and ILP-controlled travel environment make it a unique eco-tourism destination.
