What is CMAAY — Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana?
Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY) is Arunachal Pradesh Government's state health insurance scheme launched in 2018 to provide cashless medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh per family per year. CMAAY covers ALL Arunachal Pradesh domicile holders — not just BPL families — complementing AB-PMJAY by including those families who are not on the PMJAY list. The scheme covers over 300 medical procedures including cardiac surgery, cancer treatment, dialysis, neurosurgery, burns, polytrauma, and neonatal care at empanelled hospitals in Arunachal and across India. CMAAY cards are issued to all Arunachal indigenous communities (APST certificate holders) and residents.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹5 lakh per family per year cashless treatment — ALL Arunachal domicile holders — 300+ procedures — empanelled hospitals Arunachal + India. The scheme was launched in 2018 and is implemented by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
