What is Arunachal Tatkal Chikitsa Yojana?
The Mukhyamantri Tatkal Chikitsa Sahayata Yojana is run by the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, to act as a financial cushion when a poor family faces a sudden medical crisis. It offers up to ₹1 lakh towards the cost of treating life-threatening conditions such as cancer, cardiac disease, kidney failure, severe trauma and other emergencies that need urgent hospitalization. Eligible BPL patients can be treated at government facilities, empanelled private hospitals inside the state, or at referral hospitals outside Arunachal Pradesh when specialist care is unavailable locally. Once the Chief Medical Officer verifies the illness, the sanctioned amount is released through DBT to the patient's Aadhaar-linked bank account or paid directly to the treating hospital, often within 24 to 48 hours.
