What is Arunachal Horticulture Kiwi Apple Scheme?
Arunachal Pradesh Horticulture Development Scheme provides 50% subsidy on planting material (saplings/rhizomes), irrigation equipment, post-harvest infrastructure, and training for cultivation of kiwi, apple, large cardamom, ginger, orange, and other key horticulture crops of Arunachal Pradesh. Implemented by the Horticulture Department under the National Horticulture Mission (NHM) and state budget. Arunachal Pradesh is one of India's largest producers of kiwi and large cardamom. APST farmers with tribal community land (Village Council certification accepted) are the primary beneficiaries. Organic certification support is also available.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive 50% subsidy on planting material, irrigation, and post-harvest infrastructure for kiwi, apple, large cardamom, ginger, and orange cultivation in Arunachal Pradesh.
