Tripura Muktadhara Yojana is a social welfare scheme run by the Food & Civil Supplies Department, Government of Tripura, designed to strengthen food security for Below Poverty Line (BPL) households. It combines two benefits in one programme: subsidised food grain (rice supplied at BPL rates through the existing ration shop network) and a monthly cash component that supplements household income. The food grain is collected from local fair-price shops, while the cash assistance is paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) straight into the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account, cutting out middlemen and reducing leakage. By covering economically vulnerable families across all districts of Tripura, the scheme aims to ensure that no eligible BPL household goes without basic nutrition or essential financial relief.
