The Tripura Rubber Growers Small Farmer Scheme gives small and marginal rubber growers — those holding under 5 acres — a ₹20,000 per acre replanting subsidy, improved high-yield clone saplings, technical support and Rubber Board registration. Tripura is India second-largest rubber producing state, but a large share of its plantations are past productive age: rubber trees stop yielding economically after roughly 20-25 years, and a smallholder cannot fund a replant that takes seven years to earn again. This scheme covers that gap. It is implemented jointly by the Rubber Board of India and the Tripura Agriculture Department, and tribal growers inside TTAADC areas get priority — for them a gram panchayat attestation is accepted in place of a formal land patta, which is what usually blocks tribal growers from subsidy schemes.

Which farmers qualify

• ✓ Permanent resident of Tripura — domicile certificate required
• ✓ Small or marginal rubber grower — rubber holding under 5 acres
• ✓ Registered with the Rubber Board of India, or willing to register while applying
• ✓ For the replanting subsidy: must have old (20+ years) or unproductive rubber trees
• ✓ Special priority for Scheduled Tribe (ST) growers in TTAADC areas
• ✓ Land in the grower name or legal possession (for tribal land, a gram panchayat attestation is accepted)

Registration walkthrough

1. 1Visit the nearest Rubber Board of India office (Agartala or district) or the District Agriculture Office
2. 2Complete Rubber Board registration first if you are not already registered
3. 3Collect the replanting subsidy application form
4. 4Fill it in and attach the land deed, proof of plantation age, Aadhaar, domicile and bank passbook
5. 5Submit at the Rubber Board office — a field inspection follows before the recommendation
6. 6On approval, collect improved clone saplings from the government nursery; the ₹20,000 per acre subsidy comes by DBT
