What is Tripura CM Yuva Yojana?
Tripura Mukhyamantri Yuva Yojana is a youth employment programme run by the Labour & Employment Department, Government of Tripura, that tackles unemployment by combining free skill training with a stipend. Eligible jobseekers aged 18–35 are enrolled at ITIs, polytechnics and approved training institutes for courses in IT, hospitality, construction, retail, healthcare and agriculture-based trades, so that training maps to real labour-market demand. During the training period the candidate receives a monthly stipend of ₹5,000, paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the Aadhaar-linked bank account, which helps cover travel and living costs while they learn. After completing the course, candidates are supported with placement assistance to connect them to jobs in the private and government sectors, turning short-term training into longer-term livelihoods.
