What is Tripura Rubber Plantation Support?
Tripura Rubber Plantation Development Scheme provides 50% subsidy for new rubber plantation development and replanting of old and uneconomical rubber gardens. India's second largest natural rubber producer after Kerala, Tripura has over 90,000 rubber farmers. The scheme is jointly implemented by the Rubber Board of India and the Agriculture Department, Government of Tripura. Support includes planting material (RRII clones), technical training, processing unit assistance, and market linkage. The replanting grant is ₹16,000–₹20,000 per hectare.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive 50% subsidy on rubber plantation development + ₹16,000–₹20,000/hectare replanting grant + free planting material and training for Tripura rubber farmers. The scheme was launched in 2002 and is implemented by the Government of Tripura.
