What is UK Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana?
Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana provides free permanent houses to BPL (Below Poverty Line) rural families in Uttarakhand who are either homeless or living in dilapidated/kutcha houses. The scheme runs parallel to PMAY-Gramin and covers families not covered under the central scheme, providing ₹1.30 lakh (plain areas) and ₹1.50 lakh (hilly/difficult terrain) per house. Around 40,000 houses have been constructed annually. Administered by Rural Development Department, Uttarakhand.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Free permanent house — ₹1.30 lakh (plain) / ₹1.50 lakh (hilly) for BPL homeless rural families in Uttarakhand. The scheme was launched in 2018 and is implemented by the Government of Uttarakhand.
