What is UK Organic Farming Paramparagat PKVY?
Uttarakhand Organic Farming Mission under PKVY (Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana) provides ₹50,000 per hectare over three years for organic certification, inputs, training, and cluster development for Uttarakhand farmers. Special focus on Basmati rice (Dehradun Basmati GI), spices (turmeric, ginger, garlic), herbs (Brahmi, Ashwagandha), and high-value organic vegetables. Uttarakhand declared India's first fully organic state in 2018 and this scheme supports the transition and sustenance of organic farming practices with PGS certification.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹50,000/hectare (3-year) PKVY support for organic certification + inputs + training — Basmati, spices, herbs in Uttarakhand. The scheme was launched in 2015 and is implemented by the Government of Uttarakhand.
