What is UK Nari Shakti Women Scheme?
Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Nari Shakti Yojana provides ₹1,000 per month cash support to BPL (Below Poverty Line) women plus Self Help Group (SHG) formation support and free skill training in stitching, handicrafts, food processing, and other livelihood skills. The scheme targets rural mountain women in Uttarakhand's remote hill districts and is administered by Women Empowerment & Child Development Department. SHG formation enables group lending and collective enterprise in hill villages.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹1,000/month cash support + SHG formation + free skill training for BPL rural mountain women in Uttarakhand. The scheme was launched in 2021 and is implemented by the Government of Uttarakhand.
