What is Punjab BC OBC Post-Matric Scholarship?
Punjab Post-Matric Scholarship for Backward Classes (BC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) students provides full tuition fee reimbursement and monthly maintenance allowance of ₹380–₹760 for students studying from Class 11 to post-graduate level. The scheme is centrally sponsored and implemented by Punjab Welfare Department. Family income limit is ₹1.5 lakh per annum. Students apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). The scholarship covers students in government, government-aided, and recognized private institutions in Punjab and outside Punjab.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Full tuition fee reimbursement + ₹380–₹760/month maintenance allowance for BC/OBC students; apply on National Scholarship Portal (NSP); income limit ₹1.5 lakh. The scheme was launched in 1998 and is implemented by the Government of Punjab.
