Goa Tribal Welfare Department provides comprehensive support to Scheduled Tribe (ST) students — primarily Gawda, Kunbi, Velip, Dhangar communities: Free government hostels (residential facilities) in Panaji, Margao, Vasco; Pre-Matric Scholarship (Class 1-10) ₹225-₹750/month + book allowance; Post-Matric Scholarship (Class 11 to PhD) full tuition fee + ₹230-₹1,200/month maintenance.
