What is Goa CM Merit Scholarship?
Goa Chief Minister's Merit Scholarship provides financial assistance of ₹3,000/month (₹36,000/year) to meritorious Goa-domiciled students who have scored 75%+ in Class 12 and secured admission to professional/higher education courses (engineering, medical, law, MBA, architecture, pharmacy, nursing etc.) in recognised institutions within Goa or outside. The scholarship covers up to 4 years of the course duration. Administered by Directorate of Higher Education (dhe.goa.gov.in). Around 2,000 students benefit per year.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹3,000/month (₹36,000/year) for up to 4 years for 75%+ Class 12 Goan students in professional courses. The scheme was launched in 2008 and is implemented by the Government of Goa.
