What is Goa MSME Investment Promotion Scheme?
Goa MSME Investment Promotion Scheme offers 25% capital investment subsidy (up to ₹25 lakh) for new Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) setting up manufacturing or food processing units in Goa. The scheme is administered by the Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) and the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC). Additional benefits include 5-year sales tax/GST exemption, electricity duty concession, stamp duty waiver on land purchase, and priority bank credit linkage. Food processing units get additional incentives under Goa's food processing policy. Around 500+ MSMEs benefit annually.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive 25% capital subsidy up to ₹25 lakh + GST/sales tax exemption (5 years) + electricity duty concession for new Goa MSMEs. The scheme was launched in 2015 and is implemented by the Government of Goa.
