What is Goa AYUSH Wellness Scheme?
Goa AYUSH Wellness Scheme provides free Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy (AYUSH) treatment at government AYUSH dispensaries and hospitals across Goa. Goa has 17 government AYUSH dispensaries and the Goa Ayurvedic Hospital, Panaji. Senior citizens aged 60+ receive subsidized Panchakarma treatment (detox/rejuvenation therapy) at government rates — normally costs ₹5,000–₹15,000 per course privately. Medicines are dispensed free at AYUSH OPDs. The scheme promotes traditional medicine as complementary healthcare alongside allopathy.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Free Ayurveda/Yoga/Homeopathy OPD + subsidized Panchakarma for senior citizens at government AYUSH centres across Goa. The scheme was launched in 2014 and is implemented by the Government of Goa.
