What is Orunodoi Scheme Assam?
Orunodoi Scheme is Assam government's flagship direct benefit transfer scheme launched in 2020. Every eligible economically weaker household in Assam receives ₹1,250 per month directly to the bank account of the woman member of the family. Over 25 lakh families across Assam benefit from this scheme — making it one of the largest cash transfer schemes in Northeast India.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹1,250/month to the woman member of eligible families via DBT. The scheme was launched in 2020 and is implemented by the Government of Assam.
