What is Assam Atal Amrit Abhiyan?
Atal Amrit Abhiyan is Assam's state health insurance scheme providing ₹2 lakh annual cashless treatment to all BPL families. Covers 430+ disease packages including cancer, heart, kidney, neurology, burns, and road accidents. Over 27 lakh families enrolled. Smart Health Card issued for cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals. One of North-East India's largest health schemes.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹2 lakh annual cashless treatment for 430+ disease packages — BPL families Assam. The scheme was launched in 2018 and is implemented by the Government of Assam.
