What is Assam OBC Scholarship?
This post-matric scholarship helps OBC students in Assam stay in education from Class 11 right through to professional and degree courses by covering both their fees and their living costs. Administered by the state's Welfare of Plains Tribes & Backward Classes Department, it reimburses the full tuition fee and adds a monthly maintenance allowance that scales with the level of study and where the student lives: ₹400/month for a Class 11-12 day scholar, ₹700/month for a degree or postgraduate day scholar, and ₹800/month for a hosteller in degree or professional courses.
