What is Sikkim Rural Housing Mission?
Sikkim BPL rural families receive ₹2 lakh under PMAY-G (hilly state enhanced rate) for pucca house construction. Sikkim also has the Chief Minister's Rural Housing Mission that provides additional state funds to ensure all BPL families have permanent shelter. Houses include Swachh Bharat toilet, Saubhagya electricity, and PMUY LPG connections. Sikkim's terrain requires specialized construction — state provides technical assistance.
