What is Sikkim CM Self-Employment Loan?
Sikkim Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme provides loans of ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh at subsidized interest rates for youth of Sikkim to start self-employment ventures. The scheme targets educated unemployed youth who are Sikkim Subject Certificate holders. It covers retail businesses, service sector, food processing, handicrafts, small manufacturing, and hospitality. The scheme includes an interest subsidy component and mentoring support through District Industries Centres. It complements the existing CM-SEED scheme (capped at ₹2 lakh) by offering higher loan amounts for larger enterprises.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive ₹1–₹5 lakh loan at subsidized interest for Sikkim youth self-employment ventures. The scheme was launched in 2018 and is implemented by the Government of Sikkim.
