Nadu-Nedu (Then and Now) is Andhra Pradesh government's flagship school infrastructure transformation programme renovating 45,000 government schools across AP. Launched in 2019 by the YSRCP government and continued by TDP, the scheme provides English medium instruction, furniture, toilets, clean drinking water, electricity, smart classrooms, compound walls, and painting. Total outlay: ₹3,500 crore. Benefits: 40 lakh+ students in government schools of AP. Phase 1 covered 15,715 schools; Phase 2 covers 30,000+ more.
