What is AP MGNREGA Job Card?
The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), implemented in Andhra Pradesh through the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department, gives every rural household a legal right to 100 days of unskilled wage work each financial year at ₹247 per day. Adult members register at their Gram Panchayat and receive a job card listing the family. When a household demands work, the Panchayat must allocate it within 15 days, failing which an unemployment allowance is due.
