What is AP Rythu Pedatha Farm Support?
Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Department's Rythu Pedatha (Farmer's Capital) initiative provides comprehensive input subsidies to AP farmers: 50-75% subsidy on quality seeds, 50% on bio-fertilizers and organic inputs (PKVY organic farming), 50-75% on drip/sprinkler irrigation equipment, 25-50% on farm machinery (power tiller, transplanter, harvester), 50% on polyhouse/shade net/mulch. Additionally AP provides: ₹9,500 input subsidy per crop hectare in case of severe drought/flood (input subsidy scheme), and PMFBY crop insurance at 1.5% Kharif premium. Apply through Village Agriculture Assistant (VAA) or apagrisnet.ap.gov.in.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive 50-75% subsidy seeds/irrigation/machinery/polyhouse + ₹9,500/ha drought subsidy + PMFBY insurance — AP farmers. The scheme was launched in 2015 and is implemented by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
