What is Telangana Education Kits Scheme?
Telangana Education Kits Scheme provides FREE school kits to all students enrolled in government and government-aided schools across Telangana. Each kit contains: 1 school bag, 2 sets of school uniform, notebooks, textbooks, stationery (pens, pencils, geometry box), shoes, socks, water bottle, and lunch box. The scheme covers all students from Class 1 to Class 10 — approximately 30 lakh students annually. Distribution happens at the start of each academic year (June–July). The scheme aims to reduce the financial burden on poor families, reduce dropouts, and ensure all government school students start the academic year with the same access to learning materials. Implemented by the School Education Department, Telangana.
