What is Rajasthan Nishulk Janch Yojana (Free Diagnostic Tests)?
Mukhyamantri Nishulk Janch Yojana Rajasthan provides 191 types of free diagnostic tests at all government health facilities — PHCs, CHCs, Sub-District Hospitals, District Hospitals, and Medical Colleges. Tests include blood tests, urine tests, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT scan, ECG, and many specialised tests. There is NO eligibility criterion or income limit — any patient visiting a government hospital in Rajasthan can avail free tests. Over 2 crore tests are conducted every month across Rajasthan, making it the largest free diagnostic programme in India. Launched in 2013 and expanded multiple times, this scheme has dramatically reduced out-of-pocket healthcare expenses for ordinary Rajasthanis.
Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive 191 types of diagnostic tests FREE — blood, urine, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT scan, ECG — at any Rajasthan government hospital — universal, no income limit. The scheme was launched in 2013 and is implemented by the Government of Rajasthan.
